" In 2012 the UCW will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of its founding. The UCW was formed in 1962 by the amalgamation of the Women's Missionary Society (WMS) and the Women's Auxiliary (WA).

In anticipation of this anniversary we are compiling a list of the names of all the women in our churches who were founding members of the UCW. If you or anyone you know was a member of the WMS or WA when they became the UCW in 1962 please be sure to contact Ruby Vaughan at 248-2715 so that we can have as complete a list of charter members as is possible."
